How to search the database

You can search the database via the web or via command line interface.

Four-byte AS numbers

On 1 January 2007, APNIC began processing applications for four-byte AS numbers. Please see:

To ensure the integrity of information in the APNIC Whois Database, on 14 December 2004, the maintainer of all historical resources in the APNIC Whois Database was changed to the APNIC-HM maintainer. APNIC will not update historical information in the APNIC Whois Database until the resource holder can prove the organisation's right to the resources and has a formal agreement with APNIC as a member or non-member account holder. Privacy of customer assignments

The APNIC Secretariat recently implemented the database changes outlined in prop-007-v001. This means that as of 30 September 2004, LIRs can now decide whether or not their customer registration details will be publicly visible in the APNIC Whois Database. Database queries on customer assignments not designated 'public' will now be directed to the upstream provider's registration information.
