Address Council elections and appointments
Each RIR is able to appoint its AC/NC members by its own methods. In the APNIC region, two members are directly elected by the Internet community of the Asia Pacific, each for a two-year term. There is an election each year (normally in September) to appoint one of these members.
The third member is appointed by the APNIC EC for a one-year term. This apointment is made each year, in the later part of the year. All terms start on 1 January following the election or appointment.
